I have an old F reg transit van converted into a camper van the Q is, can I run it on bio diesel that I am going to make at home.

hi there

i believe you can yes, because it uses standard old traditional distributor pump, unlike modern common rail diesels.

the only thing i would advise is changing the fuel filter more regularly than what ford recommend. say every 6000 miles would suffice. the reason i say this is - bio diesel - will over time leave deposits on end of injector nozzles etc. if u change filter regular - this will help to prevent this.

the other thing i would advise is - using a tank of normal diesel every 4th tank or so, because this will help blast out that gunk also.

its all preventative. - if you just carried on using bio diesel full time - eventually - you would probably be forking out on injector cleans or pump renewals.
